Hailing from Missoula, Montana, Italian-American soprano Madeline (Maddy) Braun is a young performer with dynamism across genres. She is equally comfortable performing in opera roles as she is in musical theater and straight theatre, with the energy and charm to have an eye-catching stage presence regardless of the role. Madeline is a first-year MM student at USC Thornton studying with Lynn Helding. Recent professional engagements include two seasons with the College Light Opera Company, two mainstage roles at the Oregon Contemporary Theatre, and a staged premiere reading at Theatre 33 in Salem, Oregon. Madeline holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oregon State University, where she studied with soprano Amy Hansen.
